Mental Math (2)

Again. This morning I did "Mental Math (2)" and in this task I had to answer the questions provided by this website. This website has a range of questions to offer. Before you say that I cheated the answer is "673". I found this task hard because I had sometines figure out division all the way in the hundereds.

Khan Academy

This morning I did "Khan Academy" in this task I had to figure out which graph fits the most in the situation.

This task was easy because I knew what each graph does.

Mental Math

This morning I did "Mental Math". In this task I had to solve numerous problems within the range of one-hundred. This task was semi-hard because I had to think fast because my time was limited.

But overall I enjoyed this task because it challenged my brain.

Revision

This morning I did "Revision." in this task I had to divide decimal questions.

I found this task hard because I really had to think. But overall the task was fun because it forced

me to use my head.

This morning I did "Khan Academey." On Khan academey I did "Equivalent algebraic expressions", in this task I had to figure out which equation was the same as the original equation above.

This morning I did "10 seconds of math" in this task I found it easy, because I knew my addition to 50. Probably as a challenge I will try to do mulitplucation :)

The book theif

This afternoon I did a "Word Whiz" about the story "The book Theif" (written based on WWII ). In the fist chapter I managed to find eight new words. The book is really detailed and I recommend it for people who like books in the adventure genre. Anyways This book is really INTERESTING.

Revision

Hello Me again, with another task. In this task I had to sove the long division.

I found this easy because there were times tables to assist.

Khan Academy

This morning I also did "Khan Academy" in this task I had to do co-ordinates. I found this tricky because I had absolutely no idea that there were extra opitions to choose from down below. But anyway this was preaty cool to attempt.

10 Seconds Of Math

This morning  I did "10 seconds of math" and in this game you have to react fast to solve the questions. Because like it says you only have ten seconds to answer each question. But! yes there's a "but," the faster you answer the questions the more time you have.

This morning I did "Solvemoji". In the problem I had to figure out what the words was by solving the math equation. 

Vocab

Today I compleated the vocabulary sheet given by miss donaldson.
The words on the template were from the reading mystery problem solving.
I found this easy until I had to come up with the sentences.

Map of the TRAITOR

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learming Object) with my friends "Champion and Josiah". during this session of the day we as a class were given a story behind a crime and there are four main suspects. Jonathan, Benjamin, Edward and Lucis. My friends and I had already figured out who commited the crime and it was... Just joking (lol) not going to spoil it. But overall the dectective work was amazing!! If you want a real hard challenge the don't go through the slides and read the story.

Collaborative problem solving

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) using the best strategy I knew.
In these questions I used the most common strategy we (Room 6) use and thats. Algebra!
But for the "Extension" question I had to figure out the percentage of 32/80. At first it was hard but I had cool friends to help. They helped me understand that I had to use long division to discover the answer.

The Liars Club

Today We (Room 6) did "Mystery solving" about the stolen dice (It was a reading activity), and in this task there were four main suspects and they each had their own paragraph explaining weather they were "Guilty or Innocent"

I found this DLO easy Cause I was working with my "Best Girl Mate " Champion.
Just kidding (Don't tell him" Shhhh.

Mathopolis

This morning I did mathopolis. In this game I had to solve addition problems relating to fractions.

The questions on this site were semi hard because some questions were just... hard. But overall I really suggest this site to children that want to push themselves beyond their expectations.

Today I did The Learning contract. In this task I had to pick three activity's to complete.
You can see that in this slide I have chosen three Activity's. I found this easy because I have read the book and I can understand what each of the activity's are asking me to do.

Brilliant Math

This morning I did Brilliant Math. In this task you haven year nine level questions to answer but to be honest this it feel like nothing too over the top. That's why I really like doing these kind of questions.

This morning I completed my "Train your brain" task/activity. I found this easy because I was heavily assisted my Mafi and Indira. 

Today I did the substitution grid, and in this task/activity I had to answer nine questions based on "X" which equals "8". I found this task\activity easy because I was assisted by Josiah and Mafi.

Mathopolis

This morning I did this task called "Mathopolis" This task was mainly about Fractions and probability's. The question you see above was about how likely would the landing on an odd number. Since there is five numbers the probability of it landing on an odd number would be a 3/5 chance. 

NZCER

Today I did a NZCER task given to me by Miss D. In this task I had to solve the 

probability of a fraction into five different chances ranged from Impossible,

 Poor chance, Good chance, Even chance and Certain.

For example if I was given 7/10 it would be given a "Good chance".
This is because it is above five and not exactly ten, if it was ten then the answer

would be "Certain".

Also I found this task easy because the questions weren't Super hard.

Hit the Button

This morning I did hit the button. For this task I had to click the correct answer. I found this task easy because it was doubles.

This afternoon I completed this task/activity called Clozed reading. To be honest this task was easy because I had completed this task yesterday but didn't get the chance to upload this blog post. In this task you have to select which word best fit in the blank. All the words I have chosen are highlighted in green, if you read the text you will find that it sort of makes sense. This morning I did my substitution grid.

I found this task easy because when I got stuck I had Josiah and Champion to help me.

Math trainer

This morning I did math trainer. In this task/activity you are solving addition and subtraction. I found this task easy because this was all about addition and subtraction.

Tables test

This morning I did the tables test, and in this test you have a wide selection on answers but only one answer is correct. I found this task tricky because all of the answers were hidden.

Brilliant Math

In this task (Brilliant Math) I was learning about Calculus. I found this confusing because this it the first time that i've been introduced to this level of math.

Substitution grid

Today I commpleted the substitution grid, and found that it was pretty easy. 

Hit the button

Today I did a task called "Hit the button" and in this task, I had to figure out the answer to the questions that were given to me (which were doubles). But, if I got the answer wrong then the red light will ignite and that will indicate that I got the answer wrong, otherwise it will flash green.

Math trainer

This morning I also did the maths trainer. This task is all about addition and subtraction  rapid fire and the faster you answer the lower you rank. This is a good thing because you are aiming for first place. I found this task easy because it was addition and subtraction.

Times tables test

Today I did a times tables test, and I got ten out of ten. I found this task easy because I know my times tables.

Prototec maths

🙂This morning I did a prototec basic facts, and got 100%🙂

🙂This was easy because I did stage 2-3🙂

E-AKO

This morning I was working on a site called E-ako. On this site you solve different maths problems depending on witch subject and what difficulty you chose.  I found this task easy because we have learned about this in room six before

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on how to solve word problems using the best strategy we know. I found this task easy because I only had to do one question.

Treaty of waitangi

WALT: Understand why the treaty of waitangi was created.

Yesterday in room six we completed an online scavenger hunt, and in this scavenger hunt we had to find the answers to the questions that were given to us.

Also did you know that in the 1800's New Zealand was known as the "Hell Hole of the pacific"?

This is because the whalers were drinking a bit too much because they had been on sea for several months and when they finally reached land they wanted to let loose.
