Collaborative problem solving

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on how to solve word problems using the best strategy we know. I found this task easy because I only had to do one question.

Treaty of waitangi

WALT: Understand why the treaty of waitangi was created.

Yesterday in room six we completed an online scavenger hunt, and in this scavenger hunt we had to find the answers to the questions that were given to us.

Also did you know that in the 1800's New Zealand was known as the "Hell Hole of the pacific"?

This is because the whalers were drinking a bit too much because they had been on sea for several months and when they finally reached land they wanted to let loose.

Round decimals

WALT: Round larger numbers and decimals.

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on how to round large numbers and decimals. This task was easy because I remembered what we learnt on the mat with miss Donaldson.

Astria blast impact

I disagree with this person because this game helps you to learn and use your critical thinking a lot in order to solve these tricky questions that they have for you to solve. Before we got to play the game we received a special piece of paper with our username and password, our (because we had to work in pairs) username was "Einstein". So we wrote our username and password and boom the game started. The game is fun but there is a few things that I would want to change. Like the music in the background, the characters and make the people in the watchtower move around because it just looks plain and they should make some aliens in the background flying in their UFO's

Solvemoji (math)

Today I did another word problem on solvemoji. This task was easy because I know my addition and multiplication.

Teachers strike

WALT: create an infographic to show our understanding

Today we did a task on cava about the teachers strike that has just just passed. In this infographic we explained the different subjects about why the teachers went on strike. Our infographic shows the percentages of the different subjects we chose to make our infographic.

Today I did another word problem on solvemoji, and I found this question pretty easy because the multiplication on this question was very easy to solve.
