Kia ora. I’m Poiva, and I am a part of an amazing project team called “Team Doncorns”.

Our group is aiming to raise the awareness of domestic violence,
due to it tying in with drugs and alcohol.

We are hosting a family-friendly event at Maybury reserve called
“Maybury Royale”. There is going to be a barbeque for free so come along and grab a
feed, hang out with friends and also bring a bike because there is a bike repair shop
called “Bike Hub”.Moving aside from the free food and bikes, we hope to influence the
family that is heavily abusive and addicted to drugs and alcohol.
As of right now, I’m feeling anxious as to what the outcome will be and how it’ll look.
I hope it’s going to be a great, positive and amazing change to all families in G.I.

Just last week we held the event and let me tell you. It. Was.
Amazing. We counted the total number of people that attended the event and
forgot the number but it was more than Thirty people don’t worry it wasn’t a Ten to
Fifteen people event. Although I feel as if our project is working because people from
the previous week came back to enjoy the event, food and most importantly the day.
