WALT: Round larger numbers and decimals.

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on how to round large numbers and decimals. This task was easy because I remembered what we learnt on the mat with miss Donaldson.

I disagree with this person because this game helps you to learn and use your critical thinking a lot in order to solve these tricky questions that they have for you to solve. Before we got to play the game we received a special piece of paper with our username and password, our (because we had to work in pairs) username was "Einstein". So we wrote our username and password and boom the game started. The game is fun but there is a few things that I would want to change. Like the music in the background, the characters and make the people in the watchtower move around because it just looks plain and they should make some aliens in the background flying in their UFO's

Double exposure

Here is one I prepared earlier 

A little while ago we (room 6) completed a task called double exposure. What is it? well double exposure is a thing we did on pixlr. But for this task we needed to take a photo of black and white to make it easy to edit the photo. Today I did a word Solvemoji and got the word "zoom". This task was easy because I know my times tables.

Persuasive language in a speech

Today I just completed my task that my teacher has given me. We did this task because we had just recently viewed Leonardo DiCaprio's speech and found some amazing persuasive language, and then we decided to find some persuasive language in speeches ourselves. This task was hard because I had to look and transcript the videos by myself.

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) about the challenge and extension. I found this easy because I had already solved this question with my class.

The strike!

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) infographic about the upcoming strike on the 15th of August. In this infographic you can see that there are four main titles. My challenge for this task was to use three statistics and an expert opinion. The one I found the most challenging was the expert opinion, because it took me five minutes to find.

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) about the extension word problem that Miss D has given us to solve.  I found this question easy because We had already figured this out in class.

Today I created a canve about FORREST meaning Facts,Opinion,Rhetorical question,Repetition,Emotive language and Three (groups of three). This task was Hard because I don't know how to spell certain words.

Today I created a Persuasive piece of writing on Ifaketext. on this website you can come up with your own conversation just like you talking to you friends you can make them say what you want to say. In the image above you can see that me and my great friend champion had a wonderful conversation on ifaketext about the amazing game "Fortnite".  Also I found this task challenging because I did most of the work (Sorry Champ).

Maths DLO

Today I created a DLO with Mafi. This DLO was very easy because I had an amazing partner to work with. Also This task was because the perimetre was given for us. So that means that we had to find out the two sides because this shape was equal on all sides. Seven plus seven equals fourteen witch leaves us with six left to add, and that means that the left and right sides are three Metres long.

our project had jandel door, NZ, feathers and a tree on top. Also with this task we had to show
empathy by building a tourism attraction that is risk taking for allocentric tourist.

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) about
Reliable and Unreliable sources. From my exprencis with reliable and unreliable
Wikipedia is one of the most of the  unreliable sources to use because you can change all of the information.

Save the animals

Today in Graphics class with Mr.Pineda we created a logo.

Our logos had to be 100% original otherwise it wouldn't stand out.

So then I created this simple but unique logo about "animals".

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) about the collaborative
problem solving. With this question I worked with mafi, She did the super
challenge, and I did the challenge. WIth the challenge I switched the 344
and the 185 around. Then I subtracted them and got my total answer
of 149. 

Collaborative problem solving

Yesterday in room six we did a collaborative mystery solving about these special
pins that were going to be rewarded to a veteran for surviving in the war. In
this task we had to get in groups of 2-3 and read for clue for four main suspects.
Frank,Ryan,Mr Landry and colonel. With reading the clues and looking at each
suspect we found out that the suspect guilty of stealing the pins was Colonel.

Last week in room six we had a task to find out what tourist mostly comes to New Zealand for and here are some of our ideas. 

Solvemoji

This morning I did a solvemoji again and got the question correct. This math task was easy because it was easy to find the value of each picture that I was given to solve.

This morning in room six I had a go at solvemoji. On this site I was given a set of emojis and I had to figure out the total of all of the emojis combined. Using math I was able to figure out the that the answer was 21. I found this task easy because I discovered the amount for each emoji.

Collaborative mystery problem solving

WALT: Work collaborative to solve a mystery

This morning in room six we had a task to solve a mystery.
In this mystery we had to work with a buddy(s) to find out
from four suspects wich one committed the crime. The people were
Joe the janitor, Mr.Jorgensen, Larry and the Building manager.
From reading the passage we found very strong clues that the person
that commited the crime was the building manager.
I found this task easy because I partners to work with,
also on a scale of one to five I rate myself a five for working
collaboratively.

Algebra pattern problem

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on how to solve algebra pattern problems. This task was easy to create because I already had solved similar problems before creating this DLO on the mat.

A+ Math work

Today my math group and I had to solve these problems on a site called A+Click. 

With this task we had to use a variety of strategies to solve the hard questions that it gave us to solve.

I hard but fun because there was a lot to do in order to solve this out.

 This morning in room six we had create a DLO (Digital Learning Object) about figurative language features in songs. In this google presentation you will find songs and five different types of figurative languages about it. I found this task easy because I had partners to work with.

 Today in room six we had to create a Infographic about my blog stats. as you can see I have put all the things that I thought was important.

Today I did a  task called order ops and in this task I had to solve the questions carefully in order to save seven members of a royal family. I found this task easy because I had already worked on  problems like this in a group.

This morning in room 6 we had a set task on this web site called Math games on the site we had to go on the adding and subtracting integers. I found this easy because my group has been working on these problems for a while.

Collaborative Problem Solving

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) in today's DLO I had a go at miss D challenge and super challenge. as you can see for the challenge I used a strategy called multiplication with algorithm. for the super challenge I had to use a variety of strategies to figure it out. First I started with the pukeko's witch had 37 in total. Then I added 19 and got 56 for the tui's. Thereafter I split 56 and got 28 for the kiwis. then I timesed 28 and 6 and got 222 for the sparrow's. finally took away 89 from 222 and got a total answer of 133 for the takahes.  I found this pretty hard because I had to do a lot of reading but overall it was fun.

Reading comperhension

In room six we were given a website to do reading comprehension on a site called read works. Our teacher has set quite a few tasks for us to complete, the first task I chose to complete was a story about Montreal and New York bagels. Here's my score as you can see I got five out of seven, but it actually says ten that's because I had to write some of them. This was easy because the answers were inn the passages in the story.

This week in room six we were learning about simple and complex sentences. We also learned that a simple sentence has one idea and a complex has one or more ideas. I just finished two quizzes about simple and complex sentences here they are.

I found this easy because I already knew about this because I had already worked out some of these questions with a little group

This morning in room six we did collaborative problem solving, and had to solve three questions. But in this DLO (Digital Learning Object) you can see that I used multiple strategies to figure out these questions. Also I found pretty easy to do because I had already figured out these questions with a group.

Math's DLO 15/02/18

Today in room 6 we learnt about BEDMAS. We also learnt how to find out
the numbers value using BEDMAS aswell. This was very easy and fun to make because I was working with Harrison

WALT: Solve word problems using the best strategy we know.

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) using the best strategy I knew witch in this case it was multiplying with algorithm. With this problem I had o aline the two numbers like this. First I timesed the six and the six ad got 36, so I put down the six and carried the three. After that I timesed the eight and six and I got 48. Lastly I had to add the three to 48 and got 51. Now you get your final total of 516. I found this easy because I had already used this strategy.

WALT: Solve word problems using the best strategy I know.

Today I created a DLO (Digital Learning Object) with Malae on how to solve these problems using the best strategy I knew. Also I found this challenging because the question was like algebra, because we had to figure out the numbers ourselves.

Prototec Basic Facts

Today room 6 and I had to do a timed Prototec. I got 75 percent on stage 6 I found the pretty hard because  I didn't know some of the questions. Also to improve I could try to stay focused and not take my time.

WALT: Understand the Key Competencies
This week in room 6 we learnt about the Key Competencies TRUMP. TRUMP is actually an acronym and stands for Thinking, Relating to others, Using language symbols and texts and Participation and contribution. They are important because it can or might help you in the near future. Also using them in class will help boost your work and reports, because who doesn't want a good report? because I do.
